Charlotte Knights say goodbye to Fort Mill Stadium after 24 seasons

The Charlotte Knights played their final game on Labor Day at Knights Stadium against the Gwinnett Braves (Georgia) and won with a score of 4-0.  After 24 seasons at the Knights Stadium they will be moving to a stunning new ballpark that is currently under construction in Uptown’s Third Ward in the spring of 2014.  The BB&T ballpark’s estimated construction cost is set at $54 million.  It will seat approximately, 10,000 people and will be used for multiple events such as concerts, festivals, and community/corporate events.
