Apple Pie Dip Recipe – Fall In Love with this Fall Recipe!

Ingredients:

Apple Layer-

3 cups granny smith apples (about 4 apples) peeled and chopped

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/3 cup light brown sugar

2 teaspoons all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of ground nutmeg

Cream Cheese Layer-

8 ounce cream cheese

1/4 cup vanilla non-fat yogurt

2 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons light brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pie Crust Chips- (for dipping)

1 premade uncooked pie crust

Instructions:

Apple Layer-

1.     Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

2.     In a medium bowl toss apples with lemon juice

3.     In a small bowl mix brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg

4.     Sprinkle mixture over apples and toss to coat. Set aside.

Cream Cheese Layer-

5.     In a medium bowl mix cream cheese, yogurt, sugars, vanilla and cinnamon until creamy. Spread mixture on the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish.

6.     Top cream cheese layer with apples and gently push apples into the cream cheese mixture.

7.     Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes until hot and bubbly and apples are slightly tender.

8.     Serve warm or cold.

Pie Crust Chips-

9. Cut pie crust into small pieces and bake at 400 degrees for about 6-8 minutes.

Alternatives for dipping: Nilla Wafers, Graham Crackers, or Cinnamon Pita Chips
