The hurricane season has rapidly approached with many homeowners and renters worried if a tragic hurricane could yet hit again. However, this has been the quietest hurricane season in 45 years. Luckily for those living on the Atlantic coast, this season has been incredibly low key with little hurricane action to discuss. Usually around this time of season we have many small and tragic hurricanes heavily approaching our beautiful coast and ruining homes and businesses along the way.
For millions of people this has been such a relief. Many forecasters predicted strong hurricane action this year due to our common approach of six to nine every season. Luckily, it has been the lowest average of hurricanes since 1982. However, with unpredictable weather extremes, many should continue to take action and plan ahead despite our slow and steady season.
